Hull's Barmston Drain among ten most haunted sites in England
A drainage scheme in Hull has made it onto a list of the ten most haunted places in the UK.,

Barmston Drain has been voted 8th on a recent story by The Mirror of the 10 most supernatural and spine-chilling places in Britain, with other locations on the list including Wharram Percy in Yorkshire and the Ancient Ram Inn in Gloucestershire.

Barmston Drain, which runs from Driffield to the River Hull, made headlines several years ago thanks to the Beast of Barmston Drain – a half-man half-dog creature said to terrorise local residents.

Mike Covell, a local historian tasked with finding out about the beast, previously told Hull Live: "I was asked to research a werewolf sighting by a couple who had seen something that was tall and hairy, and was eating a German Shepherd dog by the side of the drain.
